The types of data we collect

Website and newsletter data is stored only as long as is required for its intended purposes, unless requested to be deleted or storage space is limited (in which case the oldest data will be removed first and as needed). Newsletter subscription data may be purged occasionally to remove inactive or bouncing subscribers. Please be sure to keep your subscription information up-to-date to keep receiving newsletters! These terms may change as our services and offerings evolve (e.g., if this website offers log-in, commenting, or direct purchasing services) and to ensure adherence to ever-evolving data retention best practices.

What rights you have over your data
You can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes. You cannot request information on behalf of another person, unless legally permitted to do so (legal evidence will be required).

Where your data is sent/stored
Website data collected from visitors is stored on and protected by Hostinger’s secure data servers. Find out more about Hostinger and their policies at hostinger.com.

Newsletter sign-up information you provide is exported to and stored on our newsletter platform’s (MailerLite) secure servers. Examples of subscriber data collected and stored on Mailerlite’s servers may include: information you provide (e.g., name/nickname, email address, confirmation of consent, and in-email forms), IP address (helps schedule newsletters accordingly, be mindful of respective email and marketing regulations, and reduce spam/bot sign-ups), and interaction information (i.e., if an email was opened and if links were clicked). Contact information (i.e., email address and name/nickname) you provide on this website, Mailerlite, or any other associated forms may be shared with our account on a secure email service provider (e.g., Zoho) when a direct email response is necessary, and our BookFunnel account to send your requested digital content (e.g., eBooks and other bonus content, etc.). You are responsible for reviewing your email service provider’s and BookFunnel’s (bookfunnel.com/privacy) privacy policies prior to using their services. Please be sure to keep your contact information up to date to ensure continuity of services.

Cache
This site may use caching in order to facilitate a faster response time and better user experience. Caching potentially stores a duplicate copy of every web page that is on display on this site. All cache files are temporary, and are never accessed by any third party, except as necessary to obtain technical support from the cache plugin vendor. Cache files expire on a schedule set by the site administrator, but may easily be purged by the admin before their natural expiration, if necessary. We may use our web host’s cacheing services (e.g. Hostinger) or QUIC.cloud services to process & cache your data temporarily.
